Charles Towle Joins TMA (Northern California Board of Directors)

SAN FRANCISCO, March 2009 – Turnaround Management Association (TMA) announced today that it has elected Charles V. Towle to the board of the Northern California Chapter. Pamela Hayley, current board president for the Northern California Chapter of TMA, and Russ Burbank, former board president, were instrumental in making this recommendation to the board.

Charles Towle has also joined the TMA Programs Committee, which is responsible for coordinating and choosing content for monthly networking events, presentations, and panels.

Board appointments are selective and made to ensure balance across TMA's prospective constituents. Members are global professionals and include a combination of lenders, lawyers, accountants, distress funds, turnaround consultants or private equity investors, an academic, a workout banker, and a non-bank financier. TMA is an international organization with more than 8,300 members in 43 chapters, including 31 in North America.

Mr. Towle is the Director of US Capital Partners, a private investment bank and lender based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Charles is well equipped to join a board comprised of professionals directly and indirectly involved in turning around businesses in various stages of distress and under-performance.
